Hey there, im getting into PBR texturing and since i cant afford Substance painter or others i was planing on using the new Principled Shader in Blender 2.79, my question is that if it is possible to Texture 3d models there and then Bake the textures and bump maps for Unity or Unreal.

That shader node is really good for previewing real-time models in Blender's Cycles, even though it's an offline renderer. But for texturing you're gonna need something else.

For free baking and texturing you can use xNormal for baking and GIMP for the actual texturing. I recommend to grab Partha's GIMP 2.9.5 builds for Windows (or Mac), because that version of GIMP is supporting 16-bit images and converting to 8-bit you have a bunch of cool dithering methods.

Downloads are at the end of the page in the Downloads section on the right side. "GIMP 2.9.5 64-bit Standard Edition portable" is probably the best choise, because you don't need to install it to your PC, but of course you can choose the actual installer as well if you want to. Remember though, this is the "unstable development version of GIMP", but it should work for texturing without problems, because you don't need to do any heavy effects of textures in general. Basically just layer masks, blend modes, adjustments to layers and painting. That should work.

Even though the latest official GIMP version is 2.8.22, it's not good enough for texturing. 2.9.5 is a lot closer to the Photoshop in terms of image quality.
