i want to model some knives and sell them, do i need a permission from the companies that made them ?

    You would have to look that up, look up art copyright laws. You may have to look up country specific laws also. If your looking to sell the knives with a copyrighted logo on them as well then i am pretty sure that breaches some kind of copyright. If you dont get or find a good answer you should contact the company.
