Hello guys. Is it possible to change the resolution of a normla map from 2048x2048 to 4096x4096 by increasing the resolution and not just leaving the image larger?

I tried by Substance Painter with document size in 4k and by Quixel too, but just left the larger image
I want to increase my normal map detail

Soo... This is how you make a lowpoly normalmapped megatron. Start with 1x1 normal map and increase the resolution until you get the desired result.

But seriously. The dynamic upscale only works if the doc was made in Substance Painter for example. Its unable to upscale you a random image and put back details on that.

You either have to re-render or create it in substance painter and then export it at 4k, think thats right. What program did you use to create it?

You can enter Sculpt Mode in NDO (assuming you're working with vector layers) and scale the individual paths up to match the new document resolution. I cover a bit of it in my NDO tutorial.

I didn't know that. So I made some new details on a 4K map and combining with my original 2K map, got a good result.
    Thanks for your help
