Brush Icons from downloaded brushes on ZB 4r8

Hi Gurus:
I am a Mac user and when I download brushes from Gumroad or Bad King, sometimes the brush Icon displays a sample of the brush and sometimes it dosen't.
For example:
I will download a .rawr file then open it and see the .zpb brush file ...but the icon will not represent what the brush looks like.
Will someone please explain how to make this better or why it isn't working for me?
I am at a loss as to how to remedy this.
Please forgive me if this is a basic skill, but I am sure I am not the only newb that has this issue.
