Quick question about painting normal details in painter.

Hey guys so heres something thats been bothering me for a while. I usually model my high poly in maya and add additional small details as normal stamps in painter. However when i do this the smart materials do not react accordingly to the surface because they were added after the bake. Is there a way i can rebake or use the mixed normal map to drive my shart material effects?
