I have been working on a lipsync project and would like to get some critique on it so that i can improve on it. You can check it out at the syncsketch link here: https://www.syncsketch.com/sketch/161400#196500
I'm not sure what phase you're in, but I'll give you some lipsync tips that helped me. I like to separate lipsync into three passes; 1. Up and down 2. In and Out 3. Polish. There are a lot of different workflows, but I found that this way gets decent results quickly.
The first pass is only moving the jaw up and down, much like a puppet. Put your hand beneath your chin and say the lines, this will give you a good idea of what it looks like.
Second pass is the ins and outs (wide and narrow) of the corners of the mouth. Shapes like "Oooh" and "Eeee".
Third pass focuses on how each shape moves into one another.
As you're learning I'd focus on the first two steps. Say the lines yourself, look in a mirror, study how your mouth moves and looks. Another method is to use visemes as a starting point, you can try that as well if it's something you're more comfortable with. Try scrubbing through the audio and think about the mouth shape.
