Hey everyone! Working on a Railgun model (concept: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/qOgE2 ) in my spare time, almost done with the highpoly, just missing some asymmetric details. Planning on bringing it into UE4. For now, would appreciate critique on it at the current stage.
I saw that it was in the concept but I feel like the shape of the buttstock is too rounded. It feels like it would slip below your armpit way too easily with that rounded corner. Looks nice otherwise and as you said the non-mirrored details will help make it more interesting. Nice job so far
Yup I was about to say same about butstock. Also I would suggest adding a bit of grip details as it just looks pale in contrast to the other cool details you have on muzzle and rear body.
Well, finished the rest of the details, reworked some of the shapes, and cleaned the geometry. I consider the highpoly complete, moving on to the lowpoly and UVs . Here's the end result of the highpoly stage:
