Yo Polycount.
So a few weeks back i decided i'd get into 3d sculpting having had a small break after a stressful uni period and found that i was really getting into 3d sculpting. However i was doing it on a zbrush license and ive been wondering, is there any other place out there i might be able to pick up the license for a better price than compared to 800USD (which is like, 1000 AUD for me)? I want to get back into Sculpting but that price point just absolutely bleeds my wallet dry.
Thanks!

Or get the free cousin app Sculptris. http://pixologic.com/sculptris/
Or get 3D Coat, the Amateur edition is $99 and you can upgrade to Pro when you're ready to sell your work.
so for starters this might be the way to go
and the 100$ you spent on core would be deducted from the actual zbrush license if you choose to buy one
alternatives would be
sculptris (free)
mudbox
3dcoat
or blender (free)
or even https://stephaneginier.com/sculptgl/
If you just want to try sculpting, Blender has quite solid one - with dynamesh, matcaps, subdivs. I`ve seen very cool sculpted stuff done with Blender. Basic brushes behave similar to zbrush ones (standart, clay, polish etc.)
