3d coat for character creation?

Does anyone know how good 3d coat is for character creation compared to zbrush or even zbrush core? i'm trying to be a character artist on budget, like should i get zbrush core and retopo in blender or is that even an option?

I used 3Dcoat for UVs and Retopology.  Used to think it useful for 3D painting until Suubstance Painter came out and finally improved its brush tech.

I usually use 3D Coat if I need to work on hand painted, diffuse characters. For that sort of thing, I think it feels slightly more efficient than Substance.
