For this project I wanted to improve on my texturing skills and get away from texturing assets in photoshop. In order to do this I wanted to come up with a project that was based heavily around texturing so thats how Alpha-17 came about. The robot design and model was made to be simple and not very high in poly's so most of the detail would show through the texture work. The robot was inspired by ratched and clank and fallout 4 with its vibrant colours and I decided to add some graffiti and decals to add some personality to a dull apocalyptic setting which in its base.
Modelling and unwrapping was done in Maya. Texture work done in substance painter which I had a ton of fun learning and will be sticking with it of the rest of my projects. Rendering was done in toolbag 3 and post work in photoshop.
