Dino Walk WIP

Hey, so i've been working on a gaming reel and wanted to include this in here. This was supposed to be not really a heavy dino, but more of mid-sized. lmk the mistakes you guys see, I need a pair of fresh eyes.

I would raise the body up on the passing position for the hind legs.

Also, add some motion to the hands and offset them a little for a better silhouette.

right now your hip motion is backwards - you have the lowest being on the passing pose and the highest on the contact & you want the exact opposite of that

I know you can't exactly look at reference of dinosaurs, but they moved very similar to large birds. Take a look at some ostriches. Good start!

I have no idea how I missed that! That's like walk cycle 101! So I added more movement to the arms and offset along with fixing the motion.

It's still the same. Make f1 the lowest point for the hips, f8 is the highest point, back down to f16 which is the lowest, back to f25 which is the highest and onto your next contact which would be the lowest.

I'm not sure if i understand you. f1 is the contact for the walk and f5 is the down position which is why the lowest point for the hips would be f5.

Feels like the torso is being pulled to the ground, and you can raise the torso higher overall.

I would switch it so the down is on the contact. It just looks off to me when the leg comes forward through he passing position, the body is quite low.

The pass position in the drawing below should be almost the highest the hips are and in yours it's currently the lowest

Ok so I made a revis based on the feedback. Lifted the body up overall and higher on the passing-up pos, added some forward motion as well. Want to get this down before I start refining. Thanks everyone!

I've drawn a couple of frames on syncscetch, I got a feeling that the dino is a bit unbalanced, meaning to far forward. All creatures are about saving energy, so they do as little effort as possible, the chest is a bit to much uo and down I think, the head movement is more subjective. I've done a run cycles some time ago, maybe that helps also with the tail, which is a bit all over the place. Sorry when this all sounds to negative, at work we tend to talk about things to improve
