Shardbound Character

Hey Guys ! I´m back with a new Project ! This time I want to create a Character in the Shardbound style ! I found a few nice Concepts and sticked to this one !


So C&C is always needed  
here is my first progress !

I think I should not spend to much time on Body parts which I will not see under the cloth stuff :S

Hey @Rickpwnz, cool concept. I think there are a couple proportion edits you can make to closer represent the concept. 
- Although the clothing looks thick.. Id assume he has quite a large muscular back that somewhat engulfs his neck. Currently he has quite good postured.
- Arms and hands need to be about twice the size they are now. His head on the concept is quite small, Id say he'd be able to fit it inside his shoulder mass and his fist mass.
- On the concept his head is quite narrow with his nose bridge taking up about 1/3 width of his face. Currently Id say your first pass has quite a squared face with the brow taking up about 1/4 - 1/5 width of the face.

Push them shapezzz and try to add more dynamic to the pose, he still looks quite stiff.

Heeeey @Croftyness thanks for those tips ! You´re totally right ! The forms and shape´s are very important and I tried to nail them a bit better than before ! 
@floon thanks flo ! I need to work on the dynamic ! i think it works a bit better with the rough cloth block outs but I will refine the hole dynamic much more !

Hey man. Good progress. I'd say the biceps are too bulby from the front and the ankles are too thick. Good progress though.

I think there's a couple of things you could improve on the proportions side of things.

1. Arms are larger on the concept
2. Gloves are way smaller on the concept
3. Lower leg and feet should be thinner
4. His shoulders should be wider/farther apart.
5. The belt should be tighter and allow his shirt to puff over it

Blocked in the hair and defined the hair stripes also worked on the horn details + added fur to the feet part

I love that hair, it looks like frosting which is a bonus for your tastes.

I think the proportions look pretty good but the folds could use work.  Especially the pants.  Even if you are going for stylized folds, look at real folds to see how they hang and flow.

hey satoshi! yeah this time I worked more on shapes and dynamic for the proportions I reworked the pants a bit and hope that works better ! If not ..say it ! Love your feedback also helped me a lot on the artstation challenge !
