But do you mean the hair in general or a specific thing like the material, texture or shapes?
I was trying to make the hair kinda look like the illustration but I know I didn't quite get it

If think your material can be a good idea, the modelling/shape can be rework. I'm not chara artist, hard to me to give more advice ^^ .

i really like your character! but I too think you should work a bit on hair material, maybe make hair strands in the roughness map or something like that

Aah okay yeah I understand so I should work to define the hair more as hair rather than the blobby, hair-ish looking thing it is atm?

First of all I really love this Nausicaa's one of my favs.

With the hair although it's pretty good,  it could be better, go take a look at the female characters in Overwatch and Paladins, they're a pretty good example of what I think you're going for

Thank you so much but yeah I see what you mean, the shapes are much sharper and cleanly defined and the amount of individual pieces are kept to a minimum I will definitely give this a try!
