Hello tribe,
I am Bachelor student and would like to ask you all for feedback and support. Meanwhile I am working on my Bachelor thesis.
What is it about?
To tell the core of the short novel "The Adventure of the Empty House" from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (a Sherlock Holmes story) just through Environmental Storytelling.
How would you interpret the environment without knowing the story?
Short story:
Someone was killed by a shot through the window, from the house of the opposite side of the street. Sherlock Holmes is investing, but he knows the murderer will also kill him. So he build a trap and prepare his own apartment. He maintained to be there, but is hiding himself in the house on the other side of the street, to get the criminal. Holmes used a facsimile, a bust of himself to deceive the murderer. In the story it´s places on a small pedestal table with an old dressing-gown of Holmes's. To safe time I changed it a bit and decided to place it on a pile of books on an armchair.

The project is at the very beginning, so there are just a few plans and a more or less rough blockout. Do you think the the player would understand the story? How would you tackle this project? Am I on the right way? If you have any tips to improve the environment, do not hesitate to post it. Every kind of feedback or critique is welcome.
After I finished the plans and the blockout, the thought came to my mind that it wasn't clear who is actually living there. So I gonna need more objects the most persons would identify with Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.
Already in the plan:
- indian slipper on the fireplace
- Watsons initials graved in the weapon box
