Hey guys! Update on this Completely reworked the gesture and anatomy now he feels a lot more natural imho. Also modeled all the props, time to put everything into zbrush and finishing the high poly.
Hey, real nice work and huge improvement on the anatomy and gesture! How are you thinking of tackling the fur, sculpt or alpha planes? Keep up the badass work!
Hey man! Thank you. Actually i'll go stylized with this and i plan to have everything sculpted, a little bit like an overwatch character. Let's see how it goes
He's coming along well. Feels like he might have lost a bit too much of his gnoll hunch in the translation from the old to newer version. I think this one's probably not too far from what the original concept artist was going for
Really nice! Love the execution of the costume. If you gonna pose it, I would love to see some craziness in his head like the hyenas have in the Lion King. Anyway, keep up the good work!
@Kanga Thank you! You don't like the costume? @ Steven Yeah a the start i tried various gestures and hunches for the body, but in the end i ended with a more natural look because felt better (not only to me). That sai i'll try when posing to give him a more hunched look (@durkel) Ty guys for awesome feedback, much appreciated!!!!!
Just saw this on the PC feed, looks great man! How did you do the hair by the way, just individual sculpted hair strands? The pose and lighting are brilliant, the only thing that I feel could be improved is maybe the textures could be pushed further, e.g. some wear on the leather, damage, etc. for color break up, (unless you're going for chunky stylization with less noisy details.) Either way, execution is great, congrats!
Hey thanks a lot guys! @torch yes i was doing something more stylized in terms of the clothing. the hair are imm curve meshes placed in zbrush and the baked down into the low poly
