[WIP] Scrapbot Mechanic

Hi guys, I started this character a while ago and decided to go ahead and finish it now.  Figured this would be a great exercise to finally learn Substance Painter.  Also still need to work on a robot friend for this character so I'll be posting all my progress here.  

I did some concept sketches when I first started it but the design has changed a bit since then:

Added detail to the hair.  Hopefully I manage to bake this out properly...

Low-poly done and maps baked out!  This really took a lot longer than I expected.  Took a lot more preparation doing it inside of Substance Painter than if I had done it in xNormal but I figured it out!

Nice job I like the concept drawings as well. I like that the hair in the drawingsis sort of over the eyes in parts. I think your model's face is more feminine with a longer neck plus a longer abdomen.

Thanks! yeah the character went through some changes along the way and ended up as a sort of androgynous girl...

Jumped into Substance Painter for the first time.  I have no idea what I'm doing but now that I've got a basic idea of how it works it's a lot of fun!
Here's what I have so far for the belts and pouch.

Alright, finally an update on this project.  Substance is so much fun but I still can't figure out how to do the skin...

Been working on the robot model.  I might end up going back and forth between texturing and modeling because I'm not sure how much of the "made out of scraps" will be based on the textures and if I would need to add more geometry...
