That's a lot of animations !! Nice to see awesome keyframes motions like that for an AAA title. Wish characters ahd the same treatment! These are so expressive!
@AGoodFella You're right man.. The team did a great job on Aloy as well. Niek's reel is insane, he did most of the key-frame on her: https://vimeo.com/user2877650

Thanks for pointing that out as well..
Nice, I'll check it out as well. You're one talented dude! Would love more behind the scenes stuff.
Playing the game now and you guys did a great job.
Amazing work, Richard. What kind of time frame were you looking at for each one?
Appreciate that! It's hard to say the time frame since it was so spread out over the project.. But if I have to guess, about 3 to 5 months per robot from start to fully polished (and I mean the full set like movement, gestures, attacks, hit reactions etc) Hope that helps a bit..

Thanks dude.. If you're in the UK, I'm doing a talk at Animex about the process the end of this month. If not, hopefully I'll make it to GDC next year.. Have fun playing the game man!

If I'm still in the UK by the end of May I'll come and say hi at Animex!
Thanks for pointing that out as well..
(A few studios like Ubisoft uses MoCAp for most of their ingame animations si O thought it was the case as well for this game..)
