Hi,

I retrieve datas from an animation studio and I have to transform them into in-games assets.
I make retopologies and I want to bake the Vray shading networks from the high-def mesh to my in-game models,
to get a set of textures (Normal, Diffuse, Glossiness, etc..)

The problem is:
In my cooking textures, I have the two object baked: the high-def and the low-def,
I'am not familiar with Vray but I know well the render to texture pipe.

In Object properties, if the Renderable/Visible flag is unchecked, VRay don't render, after this operation the viewport bug.
In the VRay Object properties, I tried Gen render elements with no succes...

3dsMax 2017, Vray 3.5

Have you got a solution ? Thanks !

Cheers

The bug I had was I didn't reset the tangents from the mesh I sent from Maya.

After some baking tests with VRay, I have no good normals map.
The resulting map has lot of noises, and the normals are bads (Gradients with tresholds).
I am surprised that a rendering engine like Vray isn't able to do Baking things.

I only bake Diffuse and Glossiness textures in 3dsMax, plug the inputs to a standard Max material (The Scanline Rendere is quicker).
All others maps baked in Substance.
    Metalness adjusted in Substance.

    It's very crafty... (sick)

    Best regards.
