Radial text script for 3dsmax

Hey guys. 
Does anyone know a script that can warp (spline) Text in a circular fashion? Think of for example a speedloader with engraved text.

I have to do alot circular texts, individually placing them is not a option.


The following options have been considered.

-I tried it with bend but it distorts the letters.
-Round text from scriptspot is not a option. The link is 404

-Using textures is not a option, must be geometry / splines. Don't ask me why.

iirc you can do it with the path deform modifier.

Path deform distorts letters as well, use vusta's TextOnPath a.k.a Stiff PathDeform.

After looking at the example engraved text I'd say do it by hand (you can use path-deformed text copy as a placeholder and place the individual letters accordingly).
