JLHGameArt Yes, all of the bricks are sculpted manually. I then moved them to form these small sections of the wall. This way I can build different structures based of these blocks. I sculpted this very fast because most of the details are coming from my Substance Designer tileable rocks so forms were the main focus here. For the low-poly I just decimate it as low as I could
After some time of watching the progress, I think that some models you created might be placed in the Marketplace! LIke... some of these plants are so well done!
And second, I saw your article on 80.lv and i have newbie question about plank/wood texture, for your buildings. I see, that your wall consist of separete wooden flank, could you show us how you are using tileable texture to achive this kind of seamless material on your walls?
@AXEL Thanks! I don´t know how well I would do as a president but I can give a try
@Suule Thanks! Sorry that I didn´t reply sooner. I´ve been really busy with other stuff. Building walls might look that they are build from logs but its just a plane with few edge loops to give that look where I push edges in to have better silhouette. Unwrap is very basic and then I just try to match log seams with seams that are in texture. I hope this image helps:
I´m calling this done for now. I want to thank all of you who followed this thread and gave awesome and important feedback! I have a huge list of stuff that I will add there in the future but for now I just simply don´t have time because every second is going to Planetrism VR project.
Beautiful work, I have been following your progress with this project and the result is really impressive. I just purchased this and am looking forward to exploring it this weekend!
