IMO the foggy/mostly melted snow atmosphere/lighting looked better. Very nice city coming along, hope to see it finished!
Regardless that snow material could use some work; it's very flat. Some sparkles and subsurface scattering and other shader magic could do wonders for it EG

Test run of a play through start to finish. Find the crystal messages, unlock gate, see scary room, run back to dragon on bridge. I suck at lighting, so any tips on lighting a scene like this would be greatly appreciated as we hit the final 3 weeks before deadline. Thanks to everyone who has helped and given critique so far, it has been invaluable. Music and sound effects by http://www.jacketrecords.com/ I don't know the voice actress's details, so I'll let @almighty_gir update on that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJUACQSYxzU&t
I think the most distracting thing at the moment is the character animations. I dont think the sassy arm on the hip is really fitting the tone, and the run animation is looking really stiff, and the leg movement isnt matching the run speed either.
@JLHGameArt The crossbow is looking really great, love the soft tone of the wood (Not sure if the wood would curve with the bow or be straight like it is though). I'd be interested in seeing the wireframe.

some post effects and camera changes. I want to bring some of the foreground shadows up a bit, and drop the background back more though. Some areas are coming out okay though.
wow this is really huge and beautifully done. I don't feel the scale on the ballista though, I would make the wooden parts laminated, maybe even add bolts metal clamps as connectors in some places and bend with the bow.
Calling this one done for now - pushed myself pretty far with it and have to say I'm happy with the results. Learnt an absolute tonne, and lots of hair pulling moments with some of the technical aspects of it, but got there in the end. May have some more minor tweaks (open to cc if anyone has any suggestions), and will be working on the full breakdowns and turnarounds in the next few days.
This project is super cool, looks like a lot of work! Personally I thought the previous darker lighting was a little bit more atmospheric but this might just be personal taste. Main thing that stands out for me right now is the animation blending, especially when she starts running, seems like the animation timing does not fit the speed Aside from this the art is super awesome, I really like the sculpting work on the ballista - really exciting to see what you can still get out of it in 2 weeks
Yeah there's something broke with the animations...but not my area so I'll go shout at @almighty_gir I was having issues doing a darker version of the environment, mainly because my knowledge of lighting is lacking, so I just wanted to get it to a place that was acceptable. I'll probably tone it down a bit still, as some areas are just too bright. Thank you for the comments, it's been a lot of fun
And with this, I'm done working on the environment. The rest of my time on the MA needs to be spent preparing a fly through cinematic, presentation, and academic written work. I would love to spend more time polishing the scene, and building props to flesh it out, but I don't have the time now, so it's time to call it. I'm moderately happy with the results, but I've certainly learned a great deal in the process. Thanks to everyone for their words of encouragement and critiques I have received. The video and downloadable PLAYABLE versions will be up in the coming days. I'll post them here, or Lee will.
There's plenty assets in the scene I would actually go and remake from the ground up, and that's mostly because of how much my own work has improved during this project. I have everyone's critiques and advice to thank for that See you all in the next thread. Commencing large image dump.

Thank you for the kind words. Hopefully we get it done in time. Either way we'll get it to a good presentable place
love that plague wraith design, its looking awesome!

There's a marmoset viewer here where you can check that out if you like, and thank you
