Virtual Reality Programmer (m/f)

Limbic Entertainment is seeking a talented Junior Programmer VR (m/f) for VR projects using Unreal Engine 4.

As our Virtual Reality Programmer (m/f), you will have a great passion for 3D and VR games and how they work. You will be very interested in the current state of VR and will have gained development experience by creating your own innovative prototypes or products. You will have a good understanding of the technical and gameplay considerations necessary for successful VR developments.

In this role, the main responsibility is the implementation of gameplay features that match the quality and performance requirements. You will work closely with game designers and artists to implement gameplay behaviour.


Your tasks will include:

•    Implementation of gameplay functionalities
•    Improving the game performance on the game logic side
•    Becoming quickly familiar with big code bases and maintaining third-party code
•    Creating and estimating tasks and user stories
•    Maintaining the product with support and bug fixes


Requirements:

•    Experience with the development of VR games or applications (any current platform)
•    Professional education as a programmer or a bachelor’s degree in computer science
•    Excellent C++ skills and well acquainted with Visual Studio
•    Experience in development environments, standards and technologies, such as OOP, Design Patterns, Test Driven Development, UML, etc.
•    Experience in working with the Unreal Engine (any version) is a plus
•    Knowledge of unit tests and profiler tools
•    High affinity to games, Internet and multimedia
•    Fluent in English
•    EU citizenship or a valid working permit for Germany
