Junior Programmer (m/f)

Limbic Entertainment is looking for a talented Junior Programmer (m/f) for an unannounced Unreal Engine 4 project.

As our Junior Programmer (m/f), you will have a great passion for games and how they are created and work. In this position, the main responsibility is the implementation of gameplay features that match the quality and performance requirements. You will work closely with game designers and artists to implement gameplay behaviour. Refactoring and unit testing will be a core aspect of your work and you will become familiar with iterative working styles.


Your tasks will include:

•    Implementing gameplay functionalities
•    Improving the game performance on the game logic side
•    Supporting designers with development of balancing and configuration options
•    Quickly becoming familiar with big code bases and maintaining third-party code
•    Creating and estimating tasks and user stories
•    Maintaining the product with support and bug fixes


Requirements:

•    Professional education as a programmer or a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
•    Experience with C++ and well acquainted with Visual Studio
•    Experience in development environments, standards and technologies, such as OOP, Design Patterns, Test Driven Development, UML, etc.
•    Experience in working with the Unreal Engine (any version) is a plus
•    Knowledge of unit tests and profiler tools
•    High affinity to games, internet and multimedia
•    Fluent in English
•    EU citizenship or a valid working permit for Germany is required
