"Greetings Polycounters. We are looking for a talented environment artist to work on Squad. We are making a realistic teamwork based shooter with 100 players, large maps and vehicles. We had a successful kickstarter last year, and are currently in Early Access on Steam, with a healthy playerbase and around 350,000 copies sold so far.
This will be a remote position, and paid. Freelance and salaried positions are available.
Abilities required:
Solid modeling skills
Creation of tiling textures
Unreal 4 experience, including PBR texturing.
Modular building and prop construction.
Decent level of English for communication
Understanding of creation of well optimized art for large worlds.
Desireable:
Terrain generation, including texturing and shaders
Substance designer or similar tech art background
Scripting or blueprint experience with relation to environment art.
Having shipped at least one title on PC or console.
You MUST send us a portfolio for this position. Any applications without a clear and immediate link to an online portfolio will be discarded. Likewise, no attached images please. We'd like to see some amazing environment art, anything with examples of modular buildings is especially welcome!
