Hey, guys. I created this small environment to practice modeling, texturing and lighting. I really wanted to push myself to create more complex meshes. This project kicked my ass at certain times, but I'm happy with how it turned out for the most part. I would love some feedback on how I could improve; especially in the lighting department.  :)

Props modeled in 3ds Max and textured in Substance Painter. I found most of the graffiti from this awesome site: http://beej.us/graffiti/

Beautiful work. For critique I'd say personally I think the graffiti looks way too..new? It looks very fresh, really clear. Usually graffiti is generally rough and washed out. The graffiti on the stalls look fine but when it comes to the graffiti on the brick walls it looks like the graffiti has just been slapped on. Maybe you could take the graffiti into photoshop and add some roughness noise to them. Other than that, pretty awesome work.

Yeah, I completely agree. Most of the tags are a little too perfect and clean. I'll be sure to rough them up a bit and see how they look. Thanks for the feedback.

Very David Fincher, which is cool! That being said the floor gives the impression of being cleaner than the rest of the place. I'd add some dirt, corrosion/roughness/etc. in areas to make it match the rest of the scene. Same with the walls for that matter.

Thanks. I may have been trying to capture his style without actually realizing it. I just had the urge to use the yellow / blue lighting scheme.

Anyway, I agree with your suggestion. The floor could use way more grit. I was planning on making more rubbish props, but I never got around to it.
