Hey everybody! I've been working on my entry for ArtStation's Ancient Civilizations Challenge.

Carlyn Lim:
Here is the latest Wip on the concept, I'm currently blocking out the clothing underneath before I tackle the cloak, which will be a separate mesh.
Here are some of the reference boards and some of my own concept interpretations on what under the cloak and the backside could look like:
I will gladly take any comments and critiques!

I've mostly been working on the outer cloaks and the legs, one of my goals is to not make seams and such super clean looking. Pretty much everything has to look kind of haphazard and feral to go with their more brutish warrior vibes, this means frayed edges and intentionally bad stitch work. I also attempting to get the cloth to look lighter so it can have more wrinkles like in the concept.
My goal is to have the sculpting done by the end of the week so any feedback would be appreciated! Really starting to feel the crunch for time.
Keep the hard work, this will look great when finished!
Closeup of the hair, as I am rather pleased with how the sculpting came out,
I plan on doing a lot of smaller detail work in Substance Painter and sticking with the original specs of the ArtStation challenge of 100K triangles and 2 4096 maps for everything
@lotet Thanks!
It's been a while, but I haven't stopped working on this. I keep pluging away when I can. Currently at 63k triangles, I still have the chains and the scrolls to do. I'm going to stick with the specs of the contest, so anything I have left over of the 100k budget will go towards hair and fur cards.
Baked all the things! Opacity isn't on anything yet, I'm just going to deal with that in substance, render was quickly done in Marmoset
@lotet thanks for the feedback, if I had more time I would probably go back and fix it, but I've been working on this for so long and want to get it done for GDC so I'm a little short on time and just kind of have to make it work.
@kanga Thanks! Carlyn is a good friend, you should check out the rest of the concepts she did, they are insane! https://www.artstation.com/artwork/DVyB0
Texture progress! Let me know if any of you guys see anything that needs to be tweaked, as I mentioned earlier I'm hoping to have this done for GDC so feedback would be greatly appreciated!
@kanga Thanks for the feedback, and support! I did a little bit of tweaking but it worked pretty well with the cloak on
@artofmars Thanks again!
I finally finished you guys! You can check out the 3D on Artstation. So happy to be done, thank you to everyone who has helped along the way!
