Hey, I have been working on an environment for the artstation challenge.
Based on the awesome concept by
Alexey ShugurovHere is his concept - >
And here is my current progress, a blobby mess of a quick zb sculpt, going to clean it up now to get rid of excess polies and uv it.

Some quick updates, work has hopefully cooled off a bit, just got to switch off the lazy brain mode.
Got some base colours down in UE with super simple vertex blending.
Next, substance materials for rock and sand to start that whole thing off!
Been working on the lighting (which i just broke.. so woo) and got a column in and sculpted up, but its so dark so you cant see it!

Thanks for lookin!
Coming along nicely! I like the texture on the .. pylons? (sorry English is failing me)
Working on lighting at the moment, from the front of the scene to the back at the moment, I think tomorrows first step is the big sweeping blue of the background tho to help with colour composition!
Portal is using a cubemap captured from just infront of it. Some awful maths gets a vague zoom in / zoom out effect as the lack of distance visual feedback was bothering me. I think it needs a clamp to stop it warping out too much, as can be seen in the further away portals in the scene.
