anyone know a way to automatically remove still frames on screen recordings?

Not sure if this should go here or techncal talk.
but basicly when you record things and have to go away from the computer for a few mins or just do something on your desc for a few secs.
I mean sure, you can edit it out by hand, but its a tedious process going through all the fotoage and cutting up by hand.
anyone know any program that can remove that automaticly?

It's basically the opposite of the way security camera looks for movement. You pick some pixels and see if they change/don't change from the previous frame. If the same, then do something. In your case, remove the duplicate frames. You could also write a script to do this in almost any compositing program.
