Signature URL Labeling Problem

Hello fellow Polycounters, I have an issue with my URL links in my signature. I want to label the links as "Portfolio" or "Sketchbook Thread" instead of spelling out the entire website. Several other members have this on their signatures, and I think it looks a ton better than what I have. I feel like a dumb dumb for not knowing this, but I'm having difficulty searching for the solution. I searched the Internet, but alas could not find the answer. If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it.

1. Type the text you want to show.
2. Select it.
3. Choose the link button (chain link).
4. Type the url.

Does that work?

Finally figured it out. It did not work the way you described, but I was able to view the html text and change my signature that way. Thanks though.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but the problem persists. How do you actually change it via HTML? Inspect element or something? the "normal" way is broken for me - any kind of URL gets reset back to Null after I save the changes.
Edit: the problem was that the URLs started with WWW. Make sure the URL starts with https://www.
