Why is my height information showing from the group underneath?

Hey guys,
Quick question, why is my height information from my 'Rust' group coming through onto my 'Painted Steel' group?
Rust Layer turned off:

Because of the height blending modes. The group's blending mode also overrides the child layer's blending modes.

That's what I want it to do but the group height information from the group below is showing through the group above it

The top folder is set to linear dodge. Anyway, if it's not a blending mode problem (99% will be the cause), it's a masking problem.

I Noticed that the group opacity was lowered to reduce the height blend of the two groups, so I assume that was the issue.
Problem now is that my height information for the two groups is extreme, how do I lower this?
