Hey everyone, dug up my 1911 blockout last week and finally finished the hi-poly for it, Low poly and texture are coming soon. This project was actually inspired by the folks whos working on "Escape from Tarkov" but with a vintage ww1 style
A 28 rounds snail drum + suppressor because why not?
Textures are baller, you definitely know what you're doing If I were you I'd add some more areas of roughness/gloss variation to add to the visual interest. Right now your current scratches look great but read rather flat, this can definitely be fixed by doing the above. But yeah, that's all i can think of, awesome job. Love the way your finish came out.
@gfelton Now that I look at it, I definitely need to hand paint those scratches more carefully, some area cold use more dirt, oil, and surface roughness separation. I didn't see that while working on it. Thanks a lot for the comment.
@Maxilator It's all Sub-D modeling, normally I'd make them smoother for game models, but this one I want to try to modeling as realistic as possible and see how they bake out and combine with texture. And I agreed, some edge would look better if smoother
