I'm loving this game! It is delightfully weird, good amount of RPG and action, interesting and fun mechanics, super fluid and fun. Highly recommend it, its much more engaging than Horizon *ducks* (Horizon is a fanntastic game, but it is catered for more mass appeal RPG than the min/max RPG style Nier is).

I'm pretty psyched for it! It feels been too long since there was a decent ARPG for PC, it's nice to see something that looks so polished that's also drawing praise from a lot of people.

Already beat the 1st story path and I must say its a dope game . Platinum did a great job on the combat as always.

It looks pretty cool. I tried to learn the backstory and..holy crap I hope it's a self contained story..

Looks cool, but i don't have enough time for games, and more for these ones with panty shoots everywhere!

The characters are cool, but the environments are meh, and the enemies, mehhh mehhh. Typical japanese.

Finished first play through, started 2nd. Its already very different. They don't dial the difficulty back to 0, it keeps adding, and harder enemies spawn in the world. super fun! Easily one of the most satisfying games ive played in a long time. The RPG systems, combat mechanics, enemy mechanics, all top notch. Can't wait for the 3rd,4th, and 5th play throughs

@CrimDa don't worry, you don't need to know any of that stuff. I think if you did, you'd notice reoccurring characters. From what i gathered in those videos and other lore videos the only thing they have in common is that this story is a branch of one of the endings of another game.

That's good. Because I could not follow any of the backstory I tried to follow. It sounded like the only real thing that carried over was some..illness, anyway.

There's a good video I found that explains the backstory. I really like how each game influences the story from a world setting but the characters are never really directly affected. Like Nier 1 could've never happened without the events of drakengaurd 1. At the same time the characters are like 3 generations apart from that event.
