why not have it in more of a blog format? or at least have a tab for articles. I also dont like that you have to scroll down half a page to actually get to the content. right now there is some kind of front page with an image and some random text thats really hard to read anyway.
overall I feel like the page design is restricited to the template used, instead of the template modified to fit the pages need. Its very unclear what the whole thing is, is it a forum? is it a blog, is it a copy of artstation?
No, this is a news blog with a small forum (so far useless). I just wanted to make it different from other blogs, more beautiful if I can say so. But about the convenience you are right, I will try to fix it
I honestly had no Idea thats what you where going for. its looking more like an artstation copy/portfolio layout at the moment.
If your going for new blog I would look at some other similar webpages to see how they lay stuff out. you dont even have to look at art blogs, just find good webpages with similar functionality and take some inspiration from there
Depeche Mode, Wu Tang at SXSW... how is this an art blog? And if it's not, what's the relevance to Polycount? Honestly, as a new member (who has previously spammed about his blog in the wrong places), this isn't a great look, and you'd be better off engaging with the community rather than luring them to your website.
I don't think Michael Knubben meant too demean those artists contributions to the music industry per se, but rather as opposed to the relevance of posting a linked personal blog covering a broad range of creative disciplines which is obviously distinct from the digital framework by which this site is renown.

to be honest it kinda looks like a wordpress stock template.
I think some more clarity o what the site is for could really help.
