Hello polycounters, I just started a new project. My goal is to make a comfy Living Room take place in the 60s/70s. I also want to make the environment customizable, which mean I will be able to change color/pattern of every big or small props in the environment using UE4 material instance.
its really coming together well. I'm sure you've got a great list of things yourself, so you might have already thought of these things. but my grandparents house had stuff like candle holders and something that would fit with the era would be a funky ashtray since smoking was the norm
I agree I would def pick one of the colors from the couch and use it as the matte paint color for the tv stand. Blends in a bit much with the wallboards right now. Either that or lighten the wood color to see the difference.
I'm loving the modularity of these pieces! You've got the cigarettes... now where's the minibar? Now I just want to check off everything in Don Draper's living room for you.
Thanks for pointing out about the sideboard's color. I lighten the wood's color and it looks better now. Added curtains and rug today, still unsure what kind of pattern I should use for the rug.
vibrant, fun and clean / easy to look at. Nice. Fix the sillouette on that curtain, its the one bit you're gonna see (more important than the internal folds that are what normal maps are for. sillouetteeeee!
