I am using GifCam and it's cool but i really HATE that it's inserting "green screen" that supposedly makes gifs less heavy but in reality is annoying as hell. Will try ScreenToGif...seem nice too, thanks for sharing.

The green screen effect is just for visualisation, it doesn't show up in the final GIF. It appears on pixels that don't change for more than one frame, so those pixels don't need to be written in subsequent frames (making the GIF filesize smaller at no visual cost).
You can turn this visualisation off by right-clicking one of the frames in Edit mode and toggling Green Screen -> Show Green Screen in the context menu.

Yeah i know about all of this but i have tried everything and green screen would always show up no matter what... Another downside of GifCam is when i recorded stuff in Maya, it is not capturing mouse cursor...
Tried ScreenToGif and i like it + lots of additional features.

my only gripe is the recording length limit
