

Getting this weird problem as you can see above. Vertices will shoot off in random directions when I extrude a mesh.
I used Maya's live model function to create the arm piece. I've tried creating it manually using quad draw and placing a cylinder then snapping the verts to the live model. Both have resulted in a mesh that does this.
I've tried clearing the history, freezing transformations and pretty much every option in the mesh display tab that affects normals. I can't seem to find any way to fix it.
