Hi all!

First time posting here, super excited; I'm working on a piece that I really want to push to the next level as even though I've improved a lot in such a short time, I want to push it even further. First, here's some stuff that I've started on/done so far: most recent: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Egdxe not so recent: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/NJ88g

So now you can see where I'm at, I'm only a student in 3D so I got a lot to learn but find it's good to learn outside of the course and reach out to professional artists as much as possible. :) Now, the nitty gritty...

I found this beautiful image by the talented APPLE XieBin https://www.artstation.com/artwork/8BwPR and was like "woah!"
I figured since my texturing and baking could use a lot of work, perhaps I'd find that modelling the female in the picture would prove a smooth step from busts, as there aren't too many different materials on her and there aren't so many separate pieces.

So, I went right on ahead and got started:

I like where it's going so far, but don't think she looks much like the picture yet; I feel having the jaw any sharper would cut my screen, maybe softening is needed but I'm not sure. I'm also thinking of taking a realistic standpoint, so I suppose I should get real, human reference?

And the anatomy is a wip, I've got the torso, head, arms, legs and hands separate because I wanted to work them out; and the hands are a placeholder (took them from another project I did, I HATE hands ugh) so here, you can see it a little easier:

and a side! Feel free to offer any crit, I could use it!

OH DEAR I'VE COMPLETELY ABANDONED THIS THREAD
may continue at a later date from scratch!
