Hello
My collegue has a problem, he has a model that he sent to one client for use, the model is made in some older (2009-2012 (?) ) 3ds max and with Vray 1.5- 2 (?). A simple orange without UVWs, using instead texturin technique by Neil Blevins called "Blended box mapping". The problem as you see on the picture is that there is some weird texturing problem/shading problem during render, that looks like weird reflections or whatever on the model. It workd ok on my and his PC, but the client seems to have the problem. Im not sure what 3ds max and Vray version he uses (still waiting for reply). Where could be the problem?

Some maps and blending might be interpreted differently in older renderers. One thing you could try is baking the textures down into single flats with no blending.
codyaq2: Thanks, yeah it looks like some problems with normal maps, i thought about it myself, but the models/materials dont use any normal maps... just diffuse and bump as can be seen in that picture i posted (on right)... But it looks like problems with normal gamma but there is no normal :-(...
does anybody have any other tip what might cause the problem?
