3DS Max 2017 UV Editor Slow when UV'ing multiple models

So I'm trying to unwrap a model which consists of around 150 parts. The issue is that it stutters and becomes very slow when moving pieces around, Is there anyway around this?

UV mapping one model runs perfectly fine.

Is this just the norm then? Mine was crashing from time to time. I have a powerful PC so I would assume it would all run smooth

Whats your polycount? It all depends on how much you have on screen.

Not sure about Max 2017, but at least for me in older versions of Max I never had much luck pushing a lot of geo in the UV editor.
