Recommended poly-count for cloth

Hey, I'm new to this website and so I don't know if this is the right place to post this but plz forgive me if I messed up.
I am making my own openworld game, real time fighting game. Think of dark souls. I am currently at the stage of creating armor and clothing for my characters, but I'm not sure how high of a poly count the cloth parts should be. For example, if I have some cloth dangling form a tasset, about down to the knees, and it has the circumference of about half a waist, how high should the poly-count be? The game is open world with real time combat, and I want the graphics to be at least as good as Dark Souls, the game will be made for PS4
