The Leverhulme Research Centre of Forensic Science and 3DVisLab of the University of Dundee are looking for two candidates to fill two full time PhD positions that will focus on using VR, scene capture and game engines to create immersive VR experiences, improve user experience design and enable effective communication. Both projects will look at how these technologies can be used in a serious context across a variety of projects, such as the visualisation of historic shipwrecks, aerial photogrammetry and crime scenes.
We are looking for candidates that are enthusiastic about the recent developments of this technology and what it enables. Candidates should have previous experience of real scene capture, modelling, game design or developing for VR.
