Thank you! His clothes are supposed to look baggy and doughy. His head was not supposed to though. I have wondered if there is a technical error I am making that causes a loss in model sharpness
That's quite weird, with regards to the doughy look, it really looks like you've sculpted this with real clay.
I like the style, he's got a nice aesthetic. But I think you need to go back and figure out what makes humans human. Just do some human studies and try and make them physically accurate, that will really get you good at sculpting. Even stylized characters need good anatomy.
Thank you. I do know my anatomy is off, I had hoped it was 'close' but it probably is not. I'm not a trained art student and have had no anatomy courses so that is setting me back.
I should maybe put an anatomically correct reference image behind my next model. Do you think that would be a helpful way to learn that aspect of modeling?
@CrisisMode Always use reference try to get some 3d models for anatomy those are really helpfull. https://gumroad.com/grassetti Also I think you should give him a hat.
thank you, it looks like there are a ton of things on that site that would be helpful. Never thought to do a hat, maybe a bald cap with bits of curly hair. Would be funny
