Hi! I took a short break from sculpting to get fresh eyes. I blocked in his wires today which still need cleaned up more. Watched some shows to relax today.
Here's some great reference I'm actually following while sticking to my own design and pushing. It's a great style study to follow: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/remy6
I like his anatomy, size of scales detail comparison and the greyscale view of the texture is awesome to follow. Something that's on my mind.
You have an interesting creature so far, while its cool to use other people's art as inspiration or a bar you want to hit, what are your real life references? It's difficult to give critique on the design because we don't know what it is based off of. One thing that stands out to me is the paint job feels rushed in certain areas, like around the mouth and on the tail. For the lowpoly what is your target for polycount? Or if this was to go in a game, which would it be? Right now your polyflow could be better, and overall I feel like it is actually too low in places. This will really hurt your bakes. I have a paintover to help you out with some things:
Pass 2 WIP on sculpt. More refined shapes have been added. (There's still a long way to go on sculpting and texturing.) Anyway, my goal this time will be to go wild on colors and be less monochromatic from my other work. I also really want to go in and detail/refine his entire body much farther.

Sculpting farther. I am still figuring out color design. *-* \O/
He'll have a platform for his game version.
