Hey guys, looking for a bit of advice here! I'm embarking on the mammoth
task of updating my very out of date portfolio and think it would be
beneficial to add some new software to my catalog. I was wondering what
you guys find is the better program for texturing, Quixel or Substance?
Would
love to hear everyones experiences with either or both programs in
terms of how easy it is to just pick up and go as well as what the
learning curve is like?
If someone could also explain the
differences of substance painter vs designer in basic terms that would
be greatly appreciated as well!

Also, have you done some searches? Sure, people can respond here with their own take on it. But there's also a lot of discussion about this already, should provide some insights.

if you have to use the other one cause of new studio, client, pipeline or whatever you have to learn the other one...
pick one and be ready to learn new stuff...
