Hello everyone!
I decided that I am going to focus on 3D Environment Art. Nonetheless, I am confused of what is needed or seen as impressive in terms of portfolio. All that comes to mind is that I need to show strong sculpting, modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing and optimization skills. I have been thinking of making 2-3 organic-looking environments along with some 2-3 sci-fi ones.
I have also noticed that environment artists tend to have the usual sci-fi scene and I am wondering if I should make something that portrays the same skills but stands out a little more.
Any other suggestions would be amazing. I have read quite a bit on this, but I would love input from Polycount users!
