This job is now closed; Thank you for all the applications! I apologize if we aren't able to get back to you due to the large number of applicants.

This work is paid and immediate once hired.

We’re looking for an artist to create the 3D models and PBR textures for a clean and futuristic sci-fi environment.

You would create the meshes, reusable components, and an atlas textures, and then assemble them into standard modular environment pieces, which will be used in a real-time UE4 project. The objective is to have a set of art assets which can be used and modified level designers at the mesh creation level (3DS Max, Maya) to easily create more specific art assets which may be needed by the levels being produced.

The work will NOT require individual high poly meshes to be made for normal maps, however we are looking for the art to be made using a specific texture atlas technique, and use masked decals for fine detail. We're looking for the artist to improve on our source materials to create the best possible art, so a reasonable degree of creative freedom is allowed.

This task is well documented. We have a detailed document explaining our requirements, a breakdown of the desired production technique, schematics for the modular system (No need to fumble with modular tileset measurements), detailed 3D and orthograpic concept art, references for textures and materials, and an image for nearly every modular asset you would be making. The art director is also easily available for consultation, should any questions or issues arise.

This set includes very little furniture, and deals almost exclusively with architecture; however the artist may be further contracted and compensated to create additional art beyond this task if performing well.
Experience with UE4, UE4 Materials, Lightmapping, and Atlas/Masked Decal texturing desired but not necessary.

Please send portfolios and applications to Jobs@strikegames.net (Preferably with Polycount in the title), or via PM on Polycount.

Thank you for your time.
