Hi! I'm trying to understand how make my filigree plate look like this
flask texture style from the order 1886.

I think I understand that it has to do a lot with masking, uses of cavity/ao maps. I have substance and quixels, but don't fully understand how to achieve this quality and style of texturing.
My target engine is unreal 4, but I also need to try to achieve this look using the deprecated spec/gloss workflow in unity 4 using marmoset shaders. I'm also trying to improve my texturing ability in general too. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know it's wood, but there's a lot of similar shapes, and the techniques should carry over easily.

I don't think i've quite nailed it with the look, but that's probably also because there isn't a ton of filagree/detail to work with. what do you think?
