Hi my name is abe Azel, I would really appreciate and C&C regarding my portfolio as I don't know where to direct my attention , now I'm interested in game art most of all , you wont see any character design since I don't want to start posting them until I hit the one year mark, but what should I focus one since there's so much diversity in game art  ,
this is highly appreciated , thank you , have a nice day

    Been said before but:
Find an artist you really, really, like and mimic perhaps even clone a piece they've made, this will help you understand what you need to do as far as quality is concerned.

I took a look at your liked images and there you'll find what you like and possibly what range of details and quality you want to get your work to.

Put your attention on small items like you are doing but do everything you can possibly do to them, wood details whatever it takes to make them stand out.  Like i said find someone whom fits your desired "goals", and mimic their works.  If they do not match you are not putting in enough attention to breaking down their work so that your work can shine.

Best of luck that is all i can really offer.

Abe, i understand this and have already mentioned what i could regard your portfolio.

I think your modeling stuff is really solid!  The shape and silhouettes are pretty spot on to the concepts, but as for C&C I feel you might be able to push your textures/materials a bit further.

The Scythe and the Troll Mace both look really well modeled against the concepts. But, when it comes to the texturing/materials they just fall a bit flat.  Think if you add some more color and variations it'll help your models a bunch!

Great work though!  Looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks for the feedback! I think my mistake was I tried learning texturing before understanding materials.

If this is something you are doing for a professional reason probably wouldn't have your profile pic be of you looking like you're high and taking a hit from a blunt. Otherwise I guess it doesn't matter.

Professionals notice.  Because during crunch time the guy super high or hung over checks out everything in perforce and goes home without checking it back in. :P
    not always lol
