Point on Poly Constrain Problem

Hey all, I'm currently working on a small animation in Maya 2016 and I've run into an issue that is costing me some time to keep fixing. I've used a Point on Poly constrain to quickly pin a locator to my mesh, but every time I close and restart Maya the constrain breaks. The locator itself still indicates that is it constrained but it no longer follows the mesh. I've checked my settings and I can't see anything that would be causing this. Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep it pinned so I don't have to redo it every time I switch workstations?
