Hey guys!
Wrapping up on a university research project for which I am trying to make the cloth shading process easier. Decided I should make the maps I made public in hopes they help some people out
Download link at the bottom
(sample image is a herringbone weave)
How to use:
These images contain as much information as they can about a fabric weave so every channel is used for different information.
Red channel: ID pass for the warp yarns of the fabric
Blue channel: ID pass for the weft yarns of the fabric
Green channel: displacement/bump information for the fabric
Red plus Blue channel: Adding the red and blue channel doubles as the alpha for the image which was left empty to reduce file size
Important note about satins:
The satin weaves are not accurate to real weaves, however, I have not fixed this because it turns out that their current layout enhances the anisotropic effect that satins have. (Happy accidents are great sometimes :P
